Firm Hosts Interactive World Café For Oxfam Lawyers Against Poverty
13 Jun 2017
International law firm Simmons & Simmons will host Oxfam Lawyers Against Poverty’s World Café on Thursday 15 June 2017 at its office in London.
This event is a chance for lawyers to come together for a collaborative conversation to find out how we can combat poverty through access to justice. It is also the perfect opportunity for lawyers to learn more about Oxfam Lawyers Against Poverty’s work and how to get involved.
Richard Dyton, Pro Bono Partner, commented, “Lawyers Against Poverty is an exciting initiative and I encourage everyone concerned about this issue to please come along and see how you can make a difference. At Simmons & Simmons we have prioritised upholding access to justice and the rule of law in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal 16- as part of our international pro bono strategy.”
The event forms part of the firm’s wider Corporate Responsibility strategy.
The World Café will be opened by the Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP, former Attorney General, and will look to discuss a number of topics including women’s rights, public interest litigation and in-house lawyers’ role in CSR.
The event is being held at Simmons & Simmons’ London office at CityPoint, 1 Ropemaker Street, EC2Y 9SS, from 18:30 onwards.
