SIMMONS & SIMMONS CORPORATE FINANCE TEAM ADVISES ON £53 MILLION RECOMMENDED CASH OFFER FOR BARBOUR INDEX PLC
Barbour Index plc and HAVAS S.A. have reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash offer to be made by Lazard Brothers & Co. Limited on behalf of HAVAS (UK) PLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of HAVAS S.A., for the whole of the issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Barbour Index plc. The Offer values the whole of the issued ordinary share capital of Barbour Index plc at approximately £53 million. Simmons & Simmons is acting on behalf of Barbour Index plc.
The business of Barbour Index plc is the provision of specialist information services, principally to professionals in the UK construction industry, such as architects, surveyors and engineers, and those responsible for health and safety at work.
Founded in 1835, HAVAS S.A. is France's leading publisher of books and business information and is 100 per cent. owned by Vivendi. HAVAS S.A. owns a wide range of general public and trade titles in France and Europe, including such well-known French magazines as L'Expansion, L'Express and Le Moniteur, as well as a number of prestigious publishing houses.
