We assist our clients as they operate, regulate and grow their businesses, helping them to manage their existing commercial relationships, form alliances and expand into new markets.

We are involved with virtually all aspects of business relations and, in particular, deal with negotiation, drafting and advice on a wide variety of commercial contracts, both domestic and international. These include advising clients on manufacturing, distribution and agency issues, outsourcing, PFI/PPP, partnering arrangements and regulatory matters.

Our commercial team, with over 20 partners and 100 lawyers worldwide, advises companies of all sizes, from domestic businesses to large multinationals worldwide. We provide advice across a wide range of industry sectors including defence, transport, IT, consumer products, financial markets, sports and retail finance.

  • advising Nufcor, a uranium supplier and trader, on its loan, distribution and marketing agreements.

  • advice, negotiation and drafting of the outsourcing of its metrology function to SGS and the subsequent amendment and extension thereof.

Polaris

  • advising on the drafting and setting up of dealer agreements in Spain and termination of an exclusive distribution agreement.

RBS/Worldpay

  • advising the leading UK merchant acquirer and its Dutch subsidiary providing payment services on terms and conditions of their merchant acquiring services, regulatory advice on payment services and consumer credit
  • advising on the agreements with a Chinese card scheme on the provision of acquiring services for the launch of their cards in the UK.

  • advising its Dutch subsidiary on all issues relating to the operations of its plant.
