Heiko heads the financial markets practice group in Germany. His practice area is broad based, focusing on acquisitions, restructuring, tax aspects of capital markets transactions and cross-border tax planning. Special areas of advice include in particular fund taxation aspects of both investors and asset managers under the German Investment Tax Act.
Heiko is a partner in the German tax department in the Frankfurt office and joined Simmons & Simmons in 2007. He qualified as a Rechtsanwalt (German lawyer) in 2000 and was admitted as a qualified tax advisor (Steuerberater) in 2004.
