General Experience

Enrico is coordinating the Banking Regulatory Reform Project for the Firm, which advises credit institutions on any aspects of their regulatory lifecycle and provides assistance on matters related to authorisations, corporate governance, capital requirements, supervisory and sanction procedures. Enrico is also running our Italian desk in the London office and specialises in structured products, financial instruments, asset management, investment funds, exchange traded funds, exchange traded commodities and market regulation.

The Italian financial services regulatory group received the ‘Funds’ practice of the Year in Italy’ award at the TopLegal Industry Awards 2018 ceremony.

  • advising a leading investment bank in relation to a number of issuances of certificates and notes
  • advising leading ETF and ETC providers in Europe in relation to the listing and marketing of their products in Italy
  • advising a leading investment bank in connection with several transactions linked to public entity bond issuances

Background

Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons, Enrico worked for the Italian desk of the London branch of a leading US law firm. Enrico holds a degree in Law and an LLM in International Banking and Finance Law (London), he is admitted as an Avvocato (Italian lawyer) and as a Solicitor of England and Wales. Enrico frequently publishes on financial market and banking regulation developments.
