Emanuela is a senior associate in the Employment Group in the Milan office. She has 15 years of experience in Labour Law and related litigation before Employment and Civil Tribunals and the Italian Supreme Court. She has gained consolidated experience in managing contentious matters with main focus on disciplinary dismissals, transfers, differences in salary, accidents at work and associated claims.
Emanuela and the Italian employment team have been recognised several times as “best contentious firm in employment related matters” and they are all well-regarded on national and international legal directories.
Emanuela has gained consolidated experience in advising leading national and international companies operating in the most prominent sectors. She provides clients with high level advice on a wide range of employment matters including general advice, both ordinary and strategic, the management of the relationship with trade unions, disciplinary procedures and social security law.
In the Legalcommunity Labour Report 2017 “The best of Italy” Emanuela was described as “Very competent and responsive as well as very skilled at understanding commercial needs. - advising leading retail companies in the fashion sector on a range of employment law matters, including investigations against parallel market, disciplinary procedures, dismissals and associated litigation, termination of key managers, revision of internal policies and employment contracts, non-compete post-termination arrangements and advising on secondment arrangements
- assisting leading global companies in all sectors in relation to main contentious matters regarding top managers and/or strategic reorganisation of their Italian subsidiaries which entailed the preparation of all the documentation required to launch the Labour Office procedure, through to the negotiations relating to the exit agreements with key managers and the execution of settlement agreements
- assisting leading global company in the asset management in the implementation of the new smart working regulation, drafting appropriate policies and advices
- advising a leading global medical technology company in the reorganisation of its distribution network, with particular reference to the termination of agency contracts, negotiations relating to settlement agreements and assisting on contentious cases before the Civil Courts and Employment Tribunal.
Emanuela graduated in Law in 2000 from Catholic University of Milan and joined Simmons & Simmons in 2001.
She was admitted to the Milan Bar in 2003 and was admitted to the Italian Supreme Court Bar in 2016.
Emanuela has a Masters in Labour Law (2004) and specialises in agency agreements regulation (2006); she regularly leads legal seminars on employment law updates and she cooperates in reviewing case law development related to agency contracts.
Emanuela is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA). She speaks Italian, English and French.
