Amanda is a partner in the Dispute Resolution group in our Singapore office and specialises in cross border dispute resolution through international arbitration and complex multi-forum litigation. She has experience acting in international arbitrations in Asia and Australia and related stay, anti-suit and anti-arbitration applications. Amanda also sits as an arbitrator in commodities and commercial disputes. She is listed in Best Lawyers for international arbitration.
She is adept at using alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and expert determination.
Amanda has acted in commercial disputes across a range of business and industry sectors, including energy and resources, commodities, construction, banking and finance, insurance and reinsurance, telecommunications, manufacturing and consumer goods industries.
Amanda also has substantial experience of drafting and advising on dispute resolution provisions in complex contracts, including arbitration provisions, ICSID clauses, sovereign immunity clauses, jurisdiction clauses and expert determination clauses. She advises clients in Asia on compliance with anti-bribery legislation, including the UK Bribery Act 2010.

acting for Samsung Electronics Ltd in its Australian Federal Court litigation with Apple Inc over patent infringements and licensing for smartphones and tablets. Amanda was part of the global team on FRAND licensing issues.
Amanda was admitted in New South Wales in 2001 and has 16 years’ experience in dispute resolution in Asia and Australia. She has been based in Singapore since 2012 and has experience in multiple Asian jurisdictions.
Amanda is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. She is a Director of CIARB in Singapore. Amanda has a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the CIArb and took the ICC Masterclass for Arbitrators.
Amanda is a regular speaker at international conferences and lecturer on international arbitration, commodities disputes, dispute resolution and investigations. She has lectured for the CIArb on international arbitration in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Maldives. Amanda co-authored the Global Arbitration Review know-how chapter on commercial arbitration in Hong Kong and Lexis® Practical Guidance – Dispute Resolution guidelines for international arbitration in Hong Kong and Singapore.
