Launching the Italian Desk in Asia

We are pleased to announce an enhanced offering through the launch of a dedicated Italian Desk in Asia. The Desk will be led by Dario Spinella, a Milan-based partner who has extensive experience in private equity, M&A and real estate transactions for both Italian and international clients.
Serving clients via the Shanghai hub across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan and Southeast Asia, members of the Desk have a consolidated experience relating to exchanges between Italy and Asia and are able to manage all relevant legal business aspects, acting as a full-service firm.
The team working with Dario Spinella will include Eric Lin (Beijing), Melody Yang (Beijing), Ian Wood (Hong Kong), Matthew Durham (Shanghai) and May Lu (Shanghai). Additional support to clients in Greater China and Singapore will be provided by Michael Chin (Hong Kong / Shanghai) and Calvin Tan (Singapore). The Desk will also include Carlotta Robbiano, Paolo Guarneri and Guido Bianco, all based in Milan.
The Italian Desk in Asia will offer a wide range of practice focuses including corporate, finance, employment, litigation and intellectual property. It will also provide advice for all tof the firm's key sectors (Asset Management & Investment Funds, Financial Institutions, Life Sciences and Telecoms, Media & Technology - TMT). Thanks to our deep understanding of the Italian and the Asian markets we are able to offer an insight into how opportunities can be explored, be that in Italy or Asia.

Recent work for the Ital-Asia team includes advising on Gangtai's EUR230m (enterprise value) acquisition of Buccellati, which was named the 'Top investors in Italy transaction' award at the China Awards in Milan. The team also advised PowerChina in the acquisition of the majority stake of Geodata Group, an Italian company specialising in the construction and engineering sectors.
