  • acting in relation to its UK property portfolio, including a number of substantial acquisitions, disposals and asset management transactions for landmark properties in the heart of London

A hotel investment company

  • acting for a hotel investment company on the acquisition of the DIFC Ritz Carlton Hotel for around £200 million.

Atlas Capital

  • advising a Luxembourg based property investment vehicle in respect of recent lettings and surrenders at Vintners Place, 68 Upper Thames Street with tenants involved including HSBC Bank plc, JP Morgan, Jefferies International Limited, Complinet UK Limited, Getco Europe Limited and E*Trade Securities Limited

Aberdeen Asset Management

  • acting for clients of Aberdeen on the investment acquisition of a distribution warehouse facility in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

LaSalle Investment Management

  • advising a major pension fund on the disposal of a five storey office building in the City of Westminster

Qatar Real Estate Investment Company

  • drafting and negotiation of leases of housing compounds for various major oil and gas companies in Al Khor, Qatar and providing advice in relation to various construction matters


  • acting for IKEA on the acquisition of three wind farms in Germany and advising on all real estate matters relating to this substantial investment acquisition


  • advising administrative receivers on the sale of various commercial investment properties (including one for the use of a food processing facility) at sites throughout the UK

ING Real Estate Investment Management

  • advising a Fund managed by ING on the disposal of two office buildings in Egham, Surrey with shared parking and facilities and the £4,740,000 sale of an investment grade office premises in Nottingham
  • advising in respect of its claim for damages in relation to infringement of its right to light in respect of office premises in Victoria, London


  • acting for this longstanding client on the re-gear of the head leasehold interest in the Heals Building on Tottenham Court Road and on the transfer of its head leasehold interest in Premier House, Twickenham, to the Low Carbon Workplace Fund


  • advising on the purchase of a multi-let office building at 11 Ironmonger Lane in the City of London and the purchase of a fashion retail investment

C.A.R.E. Europe GmbH

  • acting for C.A.R.E Europe GmbH on the acquisition of the MediCare group (Nursing homes)

Cordea Savills

  • acting for an off-shore collective investment fund in the sale of student accommodation investments

Larmag Office GmBH

  • acting for Larmag Offices GmbH on the sale of an office property in Leipzig city centre

Barclays Life Assurance Company Limited

  • acting for Barclays Life on the disposal of mixed use commercial property comprising vacant offices and a bar let to Punch Taverns for consideration of £1.8m, having acted for Barclays Life on the acquisition of the property in July 2007

South Hook CHP Limited

  • acting for South Hook CHP in connection with the real estate aspects of the development of the UK’s largest proposed gas-fired CHP plant (approximately 500 MW) at Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire. We also advised in connection with the associated grid infrastructure and negotiated multiple cable route leases and options with various landowners on the north and south sides of the Milford Haven waterway and the Crown Estate in relation to the subsea parts of the installation.

NextEnergy Solar Holdings Limited

  • advising in respect of the share purchase acquisition of 22 solar park developments across England and Wales and continuing management on the sites. We advised on the structuring of the acquisition model and have rolled out the model across the current portfolio of sites, undertaking full due diligence analysis of the sites.


  • we advised on the construction of a theatre premises near to Wembley Arena with 1,300 seats and ancillary restaurant. The matter involved negotiating a ten year lease of a piece of development land near Wembley Arena along with agreeing the various development obligations to the parties.

Cheyne Capital

  • setting up a social property investment fund between our client and Big Society Capital and representing the fund in its acquisition and development of social property in the UK. We are currently acting for the fund in its acquisition of land for redevelopment as affordable housing in Luton. This includes representing the fund throughout the site acquisition phase, planning, construction and letting of the property as well advising on financing.
